This particularly well done, attractive bowl was cut and signed by Hawkes in their Cordova design. I’ve only seen one other piece in this pattern before so I believe it to be quite rare.
There’s a gorgeous cross of tight Kohinoor cutting in the center meeting at a central flat hobstar. In between each spoke of the cross is a vesica of cane framing an 9 point hobstar. Clear notching linking each vesica sits beneath a cluster motif with Russian-like cutting and hobstars/crosshatching.
The bowl is in great condition but has a bit of roughness to one corner – nothing significant. It measures 8 3/4″ wide and 3″ tall.
