Fabulous Libbey Ellsmere Orange Bowl – SOLD

This orange bowl is cut in one of the most collectible designs of the Brilliant Period – Ellsmere by Libbey. It’s signed with the Libbey Trademark in the center.

Triple miter cane is flanked on both sides with notching and vertical, parallel miters. These house flat, Libbey hobstars and all fo this cutting is housed in intersecting semi-circles. The border of the bowl is absolutely stunning featuring tight notching with crosshatched bottoms, contorting to ever space of the bowl, looking like icicles on the water-white blank. The center of the bowl is filled with the Libbey stylized star almost always used for Ellsmere.

The bowl is on a top quality blank and measures 11 1/2″ long,  4″ tall and 8 1/4″ wide. It’s in perfect condition.
