Unusual Hawkes 7″ Plate

This plate appears to be in a combination of Hawkes’ Nautilus and Albion designs – which creates a stunning visual effect and high quality cutting. It’s signed the in center with the Hawkes trefoil trademark.

Four crossed vesicas of cane converge in teh center of the plate with fanned-diamond fileds in the center of the plate – not at all unlike the Nautilus pattern. Sitting between each of these vesicas is a fan of notched cutting or a heavy, deep hobstar. The edges of the plate feature another deeply cut, rich hobstar.

The plate is on a great, clear blank and measures 7 1/4″ wide and 1″ tall. It’s in perfect condition with no flaws.
