Stunning Hawkes Kensington Ships Decanter w/ Pattern Cut Stopper – SOLD

There’s one all-encompassing word that describes this decanter, it is WOW! This is a ships decanter in Hawkes stunning Kensington pattern with a pattern cut stopper. Both pieces are signed Hawkes.

Rich hobstar, after rich hobstar sprout from the base of the decanter. Following from a large, central hobstar are spurs which encapsulate one large, one, clear-button hobstar and some triple miter cutting (like Hawkes’ Panel pattern). Nestled between each spur is yet another rich hobstar with awesome kohinoor cutting shooting off in either direction. The stopper is somehow cut in the entire pattern with a hobstar on the top! The base of the decanter is also finished with a hobstar and the handle is triple notched.

The decanter is in great condition with an extremely light and tiny stain on the interior bottom. It measures 6 1/2″ tall and 7 1/2″ wide. The blank is stunning. The stopper alone on this piece is a work of art, but combined with the decanter it’s a masterpiece!
