Top Notch Sinclaire Westminster Bowl – SOLD |
This magnificent bowl is cut in Sinclaire’s Westminster pattern. It is signed very clearly in the center of the piece.
The great thing about the Westminster pattern is that it very much highlights the quality of the blanks Sinclaire was using. From the central hobstar portion of the pattern sprout 8 bands of notched prism. In between each of these lies a large area of fluted, clear glass. You can see clean through the entire piece of glass as if it wasn’t in front of your own eye when holding this piece. The edge of the bowl has alternating hobstars and fan cutting along with clear fields.
As mentioned prior, the quality of glass on this bowl is second to none. It is in perfect condition and measures 9″ wide and 2 1/2″ tall.
