Beautiful Footed Pitcher with Russian Detailing – SOLD

This is an exceptionally nice pitcher with a number of unusual details – setting it apart from most other pitchers. The blank is unique, but I’d attribute the piece to Hoare if any company.

Large hobstars blank the sides and front of the pitcher perched atop triangular fields of crosshatching and hobnail cutting. In between each of these hobstars is a long, vertical vesica with a flat hobstar sitting above tiny Russian cutting. The vesica is framed by notched cutting. The Handle is triple notched and the base is covered with a 24-point hobstar. Please note the extra detailed cutting on the edge of the pedestal base!

The pitcher is in perfect condition and measures 10 1/2″ tall and 5 1/2″ wide. The blank is stunning and clear as should be expected of a piece of this quality.
