Fantastic Tuthill Cut & Engraved Vintage Basket SOLD

This basket was cut by Tuthill in their ever-popular Vintage design. This design is one of the prime examples of combining geometric cutting and realistic engraving that Tuthill was so well known for.

A chain of hobstars runs around the rim of this piece and is highlighted by a coined edge. The rest of the basket is adorned in the most realistic vintage design with grapes and sprawling vines. The handle of the basket is perfectly annealed and double notched around the entire surface.

The basket is in perfect condition, on an exceptionally clear, brilliant blank measuring 14″ tall, 10″ long and 4 1/2″ wide.
