This is a great, oversized pitcher signed Libbey in a design that looks to have been designed by William C. Anderson. It has many design elements that he employed across his other designs.
The large, pinched-side hobstar extends on 3 sides of the pitcher. It has flashing around each of the largest, extended points of the star. Four vesicas surround the hobstar and house a clear-button hobstar and crosshatching and fans. There an unsual notched motif extending towards the top and the bottom of the piece with additional fans at the end. The handle is triple notched and the base is finished with huge 20-point hobstar.
The pitcher is in excellent condition and has one small flake on the underside of the lip. It’s extremely heavy (the base is about 1/2″ thick) and measures 6 3/4″ tall and 6 1/4″ wide.
